Location

Wagga Wagga is part of our Wiradjuri Ngurambang (country). Wagga Wagga has a major airport with daily flights from Sydney and Melbourne. Wagga is also serviced by a Country railway service and is 4 hours drive from Sydney and Melbourne. Canberra is only a 2.5 hour drive.

What to expect

This exclusive private tour will only have a maximum of 6 people so you are ensured of an amazing individual tour that is focused around you and what you want to learn about the 60,000 years of culture that your private tour guide and Wiradjuri Senior Man Mark will share with you.

As you drive through open land to amazing lush inland forests you will get to better understand the Wiradjuri & Aboriginal heritage of the area now known as ""The Snowy Mountains"" as your private tour guide, Mark, drives you around in his luxury vehicle to places that are very special.

As Mark takes you deep into the inland destination we will stop to take in the sights and sounds of an old gold mining area. This area is steeped in history of the gold rush times, but the area is also a very special place for Mark's Wiradjuri people. You will have time to walk with Mark and learn about the modern and ancient history of this area. Here we will have morning tea/coffee with fruit and biscuits, this is supplied as part of your tour.

Once we have learnt more about this area we drive on to discover places that are hidden from the main stream tourist and stop to get some amazing photos from the many lookout spots that Mark knows very well.

On this private tour you will also stop at an exclusive Winery, Courabyra Wines, for a private wine tasting and a lunch time dining experience that will have you wanting more. Courabyra Wines is a family-owned and operated vineyard nestled in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, producing some of the finest cool-climate wines.

After lunch we will continue our journey back to Wagga and take time to drop into several places where Mark can share with you more about his ancient Wiradjuri culture and places.
