YOUR EXPERIENCE PROVIDER

Saltwater Eco Tours

Saltwater Eco Tours is located in the beautiful Sunshine Coast, launched in early 2020, the company realises the vision of Simon Thornalley, a young Indigenous man of Torres Strait Island descent who was born on the Sunshine Coast and introduced to his sailing lifestyle by his parents who were world class sailors and environmentalists themselves.

That vision was to establish an eco-tourism sailing experience that would inspire a deeper connection to Indigenous culture and the ocean. A tour that would highlight the role that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island peoples played in preserving the natural beauty and ecological diversity of the Sunshine Coast, much of which has now been preserved in our National Parks for the enjoyment of locals and visitors.

Collaboration with local Traditional Owners of the Kabi Kabi first nation people ensures that Saltwater Eco Tours delivers an authentic local visitor experience, sharing the timeless wisdom of the world’s oldest continuous living cultures, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
