Gunggari and Kabi Kabi man, Kane Brunjes, leads a one-hour guided tour of Birrunga Gallery taking guests through the stories, cultural and personal, that sit behind the frame of some of Australia’s leading contemporary First Nations art works.
Art Gallery Tours cater for everyone from individuals, children, families, couples, school groups, corporate and tour groups with tailored packages also available to suit individual needs or with the addition of native food tasting platters.
Kane Brunjes aims to represent a visual portrayal of how he views and reacts to the environment with consideration to history and story through his art practice. Kane is the inaugural participant in Birrunga Gallery’s three-year Cultural Creative Residential program.
Be personally guided by one of Birrunga Gallery's acclaimed First Nations artists to learn more about the stories - both cultural and personal - that sit behind the frame of some of Australia’s leading contemporary Indigenous art works.
Itinerary
This is a one-hour experience that is available all year round at Birrunga Gallery in Meeanjin, central Brisbane.
This tour includes an Acknowledgement of Country, First Nations artist guide, learnings about artistic practice and process as well as insights into First Nations culture.
The tour operates with a minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 50 people.

Experiences can also incorporate catering packages including delicious native food tasting platters and beverages, prepared and served from Birrunga Gallery's on-site cafe.
