Join your First Nations guide on this 3 hour drive tour to immerse in culture and explore the beautiful nature highlights of Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island).

Visit scenic Bummiera (Brown Lake), Moongalaba/Terra Bulla (Old Mission Site), Capemba (Myora Springs), famous Mulumba (Point Lookout).

What to expect

Setting off with your guide, your first stop will be the vast and scenic Bummiera (Brown Lake) to experience a traditional Welcome to Country ceremony and take in the beautiful surroundings connecting you to Quandamooka country.

Walk in ancestral footsteps, visiting Moongalaba/Terra Bulla (Old Mission Site) then onto Capemba (Myora Springs) a beautiful and soothing natural water feature.

Next stop is the famous Mulumba (Point Lookout), with panoramic views out to sea from up on high.

You'll enjoy a guided cultural walk up and around one of the many picturesque headlands listening to creation stories and taking in the breathtaking vista while learning about the different flora of Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island) and its First Nation Peoples' uses.

Taste some of what the bush has to offer along the way before heading back towards Goompi (Dunwich), stopping at the famous Delvene Cookatoo-Collins studio where you can find a piece of hand-crafted Minjerribah to take home, from clothing and jewellery to napkins and tablecloths.

What is included

This is a 3 hour experience that is available on regular set days from 9.30am.

This experience operates on a minimum of 2 adults and a maximum of 6 people.

Low to medium fitness is required for this activity and comfortable shoes and clothing should be worn.

Own cost to travel to Minjerribah (see ferry information below in 'Planning your trip') Pick up and drop off to the ferry or your local accommodation is included.

Tour cost includes on-tour transport, your local Quandamooka guide and a Welcome to Country.

The Ferry Terminal is at Toondah Harbour, Cleveland in the Brisbane area and travels to the Dunwich Ferry Terminal on Minjerribah. Cleveland is about 40 minutes’ drive from the Brisbane CBD and is also serviced by trains to Cleveland, and local buses to the terminal.
