Ngana Kulkinga Dungay: We All Going Cape Tribulation - Half Day
Spend time with a local Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal guide, visiting some cultural sights, learning about the history of the people and how the people have maintained their culture and adapted to modern day life.
Our Ngana Kulkinga Dungay half day tours travel north of the Daintree river and explore the Daintree rainforest and environment around Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef.
Throughout the Daintree Region including Mossman Gorge, Daintree River and the Coastal area.
What to expect
On this half day sightseeing tour, you will spend the day with a local Aboriginal tour guide, visiting a number of culturally significant sights and local attractions including World Heritage Daintree. Explore the region, up to Cape Tribulation and including a guided rainforest walk through the Daintree rainforest - the world’s oldest living rainforest.
Learn the amazing relationships the Kuku Yalanji still have with their land and experience these diverse environments.
Sample some seasonal bush tucker and learn bush medicines. Take a guided rainforest walk, while appreciating the history, culture and traditions of our Australian Aboriginal people.
See natural wonders, the majestic Daintree river, and if you’re lucky spot some wildlife. Learn about the rainforest, reef and coastal habitats and environment. Take a swim at one of the pristine freshwater streams in the area before returning to your accommodation.
Pick ups from Port Douglas, Mossman and Daintree Village are included in the tour price.

Note re our tours:
We offer two key tours, the main difference between the two tour types are the locations visited
1. Ngana Julaymba Dungay: We All Going Daintree
Explores the region from Daintree Village south, primarily around Mossman, including Mossman Gorge* or a freshwater stream and Cooya Beach or other coastal environment. Tour includes a walk along the coastline with spears and learning the traditional hunting techniques and a rainforest guided walk.
2. Ngana Kulkinga Dungay: We All Going Cape Tribulation
Explores the region further north, crossing the Daintree River by ferry and reaching Cape Tribulation – renowned as “where the rainforest meets the reef”, stopping for guided walks and a swim in a freshwater creek.
*Mossman Gorge will not be visited if closed due to biosecurity restrictions from COVID-19.

His business provides unique cultural tours within Kuku Yalanji country, focusing on Aboriginal culture, significant sites, environmental information and local tourist attractions, whilst being an educational and interpersonal Aboriginal cultural experience.
