Insights into your experience

Be your own guide by exploring each gorge at your preferred pace, stop for a picnic and take in the scenery as you please. Experiencing the gorge system by canoe is a really moving and spiritual experience. The landscapes in each gorge are incredibly different to the last - each with its own shape, colours and beautiful sandstone walls.

All canoe adventure tours begin with a scenic journey by boat through Nitmiluk's first gorge before canoeists take to the waters to explore the second gorge and beyond. This overnight camping and canoeing trip allows the adventurer plenty of freedom in activities including swimming, photography, bush walking and exploring. Feel a spiritual connection as you venture away from the crowds into the tranquil and secluded 5th, 6th and 7th gorges. If you enjoy nature and the outdoors then this tour is for you.
