At Davidsons, there are no itineraries or busy time schedules to adhere to. Everything happens spontaneously, exactly as they are meant to. With all experiences included in the package, guests can choose between a wide range of experience options.
Cruise along the billabong to see the sun set over the floodplain and Mt Borradaile light up with magnificent colours as the sun seeks the horizon and you enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles.
Spend a late afternoon on the billabong observing the wildlife including the many crocodiles that inhabit the watercourses, both estuarine and freshwater species.
The wetlands are dotted with thousands of birds of varying species.
Journey into the sandstone escarpments formed thousands of millions of years ago.
Discover galleries of Aboriginal rock art that show stories from more recent times of Aboriginal contact with other cultures. Learn about the variety of techniques used in the rock paintings as the styles changed over the thousands of years of occupation and storytelling.
Wander through various occupation and burial sites and view a range of artefacts from when these sites were still in use.
Walk through the incredible catacombs that display signs of recent occupation and ancient mortuary rites.
See ceremonial stones and be enchanted by the power of the history of years gone by.

Walk through savannah woodland, the local supermarket and find plenty of local bush tucker and medicines.
Try your hand at barramundi fishing in the pristine Cooper Creek, the wet season waterfall is fantastic.
Take a 4WD excursion into the savannah landscapes, woodlands and rainforests.

Discover some of the rare and unique species found in this region like the fabulous Leichhardt's Grasshopper.

Davidson's Arnhemland Safari's operates May to October each year.
Situated in a natural bush setting, the lodge is a tastefully furnished communal area encompassing a dining, lounge, bar, library and a large outdoor deck area for alfresco dining, all overlooking the sandstone paved pool.
Each cabin has its own unique natural setting and patio to relax under on cool evenings taking in the surrounding vista. Designed for exceptional comfort in the tropics, fresh air flows through screened walls and guests can choose between cabins with ensuites, deluxe and family sized cabins. While the lodge can accommodate up to 40+ guests, they try to keep guest numbers down when possible.
Prices are per person on a twin share/double basis per 24 hour period and include:

For a single supplement add $375 per person per 24 hours.
For children under 12 years deduct $100 per child per 24 hour period.
A two night minimum stay applies.

With all experiences included in the package, guests can choose between a Billabong Cruise, Wetland Exploration, Journey to the Mt Borradaile to view the ancient sandstone escarpments and discover ancient rock art that show stories from more recent times of Aboriginal contact with other cultures. Guests can learn about the techniques used to create rock art, and wander through occupation and burial sites, including incredible catacombs to view a range of artefacts and evidence of recent occupation and ancient mortuary rites. Rainforest areas showcase a different ecosystem again. Try your hand at barramundi fishing, spot crocs and go birdwatching. There is so much to do!
