Cable Beach Muwarrt
The stunning Cable Beach in Broome, Western Australia is the Yawuru Dreaming place for the Gurlibil (sea turtle). Johani Mamid is a traditional Yawuru man whose Country is located in and around Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Muwarrt, meaning "Story Time", is a traditional style gathering that provides an opportunity to learn about Aboriginal culture in a natural and culturally safe environment.
We invite you to join Johani on a 90 minute cultural walking tour as he shares stories of the ancient and continuing connection that his people share with this land. Listen to Yawuru Dreamtime stories, traditional boomerang song performance and make sure you look out for the ancient dinosaur tracks which become visible on low tides.
