Experience the natural wonders of the World Heritage listed Purnululu National Park from different perspectives on this full day tour from Kununurra in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
Soar over the dramatic beehive rocks of the Bungle Bungle range on a scenic flight and enjoy unbeatable aerial views of Lake Argyle and the Argyle Diamond Mine. On the ground, hop on-board a 4WD to explore the park with your local Gija guide. Visit the Northern sandstone massif, Mini Palms and the Echidna Chasm and southern side of the Bungles range including the Dome Walk, Cathedral Gorge and Piccaninny Creek lookout. Throughout the day discover the uses of bush medicine and bush tucker and listen to the ancient songs of Country as you explore the majestic ranges.

Day 1
This luxury two night tour starts with an hours flight the Purnululu Explorer Scenic Flight, over Lake Argyle and the Osmond Ranges. You land at Purnululu National Park where our Traditional Owner guide will welcome you to Country.
Land at the Bellburn airstrip, in Purnululu National Park and be welcomed to country by local Gija guides.
Jump in the 4WD and your guide will drive you to the beginning of the Cathedral Gorge walking trail.
Explore the Dome Walk on foot whilst learning about the bush tucker and bush medicine on your way to Cathedral Gorge. Your local Giga guide will sing beautiful songs of the gorges, that are 1000s of years old, as you enter the Cathedral Gorge. Cathedral Gorge has a natural amphitheatre of red rock with unusual bee hive striped formations and deep gorges.
Enjoy lunch surrounded by the beauty of the gorge. After lunch, head on to Piccaninny lookout, follow the ancient songlines of the Gija people and learn about the cultural and geological history of the area.
Overnight stay at the Wilderness Lodge with a 3 course-dinner and breakfast.
Day 2
Your guide will drive you in our 4WD to the northern sandstone massif. Stop at the Mini Palms for morning tea, fresh damper, tea, and coffee, and locally made jams. Walk to the Echidna Chasm lookout to hear the Dreamtime stories of the cheeky echidna, then on to the chasm that glows orange and gold as the morning sun bursts through.
Enjoy sunset drinks and dinner before relaxing for your final night around the campfire.
Day 3
At 10:15am board your scenic flight back to Kununurra where you will fly over the Argyle Diamond Mine. There is the option of landing and joining the ground tour of the mine with Traditional Owners from Luridgii Tours, with an optional sunset cruise on Lake Argyle on your return.

Walks in the Northern massif (ranges)
Echidna Chasm Walk: 2km return walk, allow up to one hour. Experience a spectacular 200-metre chasm with varying colour hues. A short walk off the main trail takes you to a lookout with magnificent views of the Osmand Range.
Mini Palms Walk: 5km return walk takes you to a scenic amphitheatre with many young palms. Allow two to three hours. Bloodwoods was named Froghole and Mini Palms to Bloodwood until September 2012.
Walks in the Southern massif (ranges)
Cathedral Gorge Walk: Moderate 3km, 1-2 hour return walk from the Piccaninny Creek car park to a spectacular gorge. Mostly easy with some short difficult sections.
Picanninny Creek Lookout: You can walk to this lookout which is 2.8km return from the Piccaninny Creek car park to gain great views of the Bungle Bungle Range outliers as the Piccaninny Creek winds its way down to the Ord River.
The Domes Walk: 1km, 1 hour circuit walk among the famous ‘beehive’ domes of Purnululu National Park.
