Experience the natural wonders of the World Heritage listed Purnululu National Park on this full day tour from Kununurra in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Soar over the dramatic beehive rocks of the Bungle Bungle range on a scenic flight and enjoy unbeatable aerial views of Lake Argyle and the Argyle Diamond Mine. On the ground, hop on-board a 4WD to explore the Dome Walk, Cathedral Gorge and Piccaninny Creek with your local Gija guide. Discover the uses of bush medicine and bush tucker and listen to the ancient songs of the country as you explore the majestic ranges.
Start your day with a stunning one hour scenic flight to Purnululu National Park, flying over Lake Kununurra and the full expanse of Lake Argyle. View the Carr Boyd Ranges, Osmand Ranges, the Ord River and the Bow River before landing at the Bungle Bungle Range in Purnululu National Park.This is one of the most striking geological landmarks and one of two World Heritage sites in Western Australia.
Land at the Bellburn airstrip in Purnululu National Park where you will meet your local Gija guide and enjoy a Welcome to Country ceremony.
Jump in the 4WD and your guide will drive you to the beginning of the Cathedral Gorge walking trail.
Explore the Dome Walk on foot whilst learning about the bush tucker and bush medicine on your way to Cathedral Gorge. Your local Giga guide will sing beautiful songs of the gorges, that are 1000s of years old, as you enter the Cathedral Gorge. Cathedral Gorge has a natural amphitheatre of red rock with unusual bee hive striped formations and deep gorges.
Enjoy lunch surrounded by the beauty of the gorge.
After lunch, head on to Piccaninny lookout, follow the ancient songlines of the Gija people and learn about the cultural and geological history of the area.
Ice cold refreshments are provided on your return to the airstrip. Finally, embark on the last leg of your Purnululu Scenic flight back to Kununurra.

Walks in the Southern massif (ranges)
Cathedral Gorge Walk: Moderate 3km, 1-2 hour return walk from the Piccaninny Creek car park to a spectacular gorge. Mostly easy with some short difficult sections.
Picanninny Creek Lookout: You can walk to this lookout which is 2.8km return from the Piccaninny Creek car park to gain great views of the Bungle Bungle Range outliers as the Piccaninny Creek winds its way down to the Ord River.
The Domes Walk: 1km, 1 hour circuit walk among the famous ‘beehive’ domes of Purnululu National Park.
