Tourism award winning Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre is located in Wathaurong Country on the Surf Coast Highway just outside the city of Geelong. Stop off for a coffee break, enjoy native flavoured morning tea followed by a self guided walk through our native garden and art gallery space.

Narana is an Aboriginal word that means listening, hearing and understanding. It is hoped that a visit to our centre will open your heart to a deeper understanding of Aboriginal people and culture.

What to expect

This is a self-guided tour.

This self guided tour allows you to relax, explore and learn at your own pace.

Visit the art gallery and exhibition centre, hand feed the friendly native animals in the tranquil garden walk.

Sit down to enjoy Narana’s famous wattleseed scones and a coffee which are included in the tour price in Café Narana or purchase a Bush Tukka Tasting Plate.

Take your time in the retail outlet or have fun in the adventure playground.

Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday to Sunday 9am-4pm.

Please note the Narana Cafe closes 1 hour prior to the Cultural Centre.

As parts of the tour are located outside, please dress appropriately for the weather.
