What to expect
This day tour from Darwin is run by local Aboriginal people of the Adelaide and Mary River Region.
First stop is at Corroborree Billabong in the Northern Coastal Wetlands, one of the most unique regions of Australia. Here you will enjoy the only cruise on the Corroborree Billabong with an Aboriginal guide. A visit to the Top End would not be complete without learning about the magnificent wetlands and how the people and animals move about and live in the environment. Wetlands provide economic, social and cultural benefits and you will experience the connection that people and animals have with it.
During the 1 Hour scenic boat cruise view an abundance of birds, crocodiles and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
Next you will travel 30 minutes to Pudakul Aboriginal Cultural Tours for a 2 Hour experience. Down by the picturesque billabong you will learn about the culture and the land.
Learn basket weaving, dilly bag making and the techniques used in the process.
Have a go at throwing a spear, blowing a didgeridoo and play the clapsticks.
Learn about our local food and bush medicine.
Lunch is provided, it includes vegetarian and meat lovers rolls with cold and hot refreshments. Snacks and cold water are also included.
To finish off your experience, you will be served damper (bush bread) with hot and cold refreshments on an undercover verandah overlooking the stunning billabong.
This tour is a magnificent adventure travelling a short distance from Darwin out to a hidden gem with an abundance of wildlife and spectacular views and great photo opportunities.

Return Drop Off:

Adelaide River Wetland is a huge area bursting with wildlife and plants, along with great local attractions such as Fogg Dam, Windows on the Wetlands, Jumping Crocodile Cruises, Djukbinj National Park, Leaning Tree Lagoon and Mary River National Park.
Pudakul is the name of the Macaranga tree (freshwater hibiscus) - the tree our people use to make a spear.
