Belinda’s strength and point of difference is her knowledge of bush plants and Noongar medicines. All carefully created with local native healing properties passed down through many generations. Each bush oil and spray has been carefully crafted for healing and the practices and knowledge has been passed down for many generations.
Healing the natural way with fire and plant medicine has proven to work for adults and children. Learn to connect with nature and accompany Kangeang / Bibblemum Noongar woman Belinda on a journey swapping contemporary man made medicines to more organic natural products that can be found in our local bush. During this one hour hands on session learn how to identify and collect plants and flowers in a culturally appropriate and sustainable way. Belinda will share how to make everyday products used for skin care and healing properties for cuts, grazes, burns and for general health and well-being. Belinda will explain that by looking after the bush, the bush will look after you.
Djirrily Dreaming provides safe, hands on, and interactive activities that enable you to gain insight into native bush plants and flowers. You’ll learn how these plants are used as remedies for common ailments. Please keep in mind that the plants and flowers used in this experience are conditional due to changes in seasonal availability. Thus, the materials used in this experience are decided by mother nature herself. If you respect and care for your backyard bushland, your bushland will care for you in return.
