Explore Standley Chasm a geological formation located west of Alice Springs with a local Aboriginal guide and learn about the geology, flora and fauna, bush medicine and bush tucker, weaponry and cultural history specific to this sacred Women’s Dreaming site.
The half day tour includes a morning tea consisting of scones, jam and cream with a cuppa tea or coffee on arrival, followed by a leisurely guided walk with your local Aboriginal guide.
Questions about tradition and contemporary cross-cultural issues are encouraged during cultural conversations raising awareness for lasting social benefits.
Following your guided walk, you will do a painting workshop, which explains traditional dot painting techniques and symbolism, and gives you the chance to create your own souvenir to take home. The tour concludes with a buffet lunch served on the veranda of the café.
Tour departs daily at 9.00am from the Standley Chasm Café.
